I hear some say “I just cant understand how someone can just leave the church like that and renounce their faith!”… But scripture has the reason why “being raised in church” or your “mom or dad are pastors” and now a days “staying home and having a secret relationship with God” is not enough…you need Salvation through Christ Jesus.1 John 2:18–20 (CSB)18 Children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. By this we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.If God Saved you, he saved you… So let’s not make the mistake of thinking if one has a prodigal son or Gomer season that they don’t love Jesus. They do love him but have become disaffected and disillusioned by lifes problems and perhaps the local or general churches current state of affairs. As long as you love Jesus, you are His…you can’t love Jesus if you are not saved, and you can’t quit loving him if your heart was transformed by him loving you FIRST. By the way, anyone who is saved will, in due time, come back to a good church…just make sure that the church teaches the uncompromising truth in love.
