Close those Churches??? (A Quick Civics lesson)

The reason why the Federal, State and Local Government cannot “close a church” as one example, is because it will be a violation of the constitution. You know that civic class many of us slept in or ignored in High school? Well that is the guidance for the government as to what is “essential”

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is a part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, and right to petition.

Our leaders are trying to balance the health and safety of its citizens while also not violating their first amendment rights. To close a church will violate the right to “assemble” and impinge upon the freedom of religion. The wisdom to tackle this is to reduce the numbers so that people will not hurt themselves while exercising said rights during this pandemic.

For all of America’s flaws, as it is a nation of flawed people. It’s still, in my opinion, is the best place to live on this planet! May God bless our leaders and may those that follow, trust God during this time to provide until this storm passes.

P.S. Just Stream your services and think outside the box 😉

P.S.S. No one wants to sue or get sued at this time.
