Genesis 41:29-32
29 Indeed seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the land of Egypt; 30 but after them seven years of famine will arise, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine will deplete the land. 31 So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe. 32 And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Egypt (the world system) Check. Pharaoh (National Leader) Check. 7 Years of Economic prosperity, Check. 7 Years of Famine Check…It was God that did it, Check.

Several years ago (2010) God spoke to me about the season of famine and that this dry time happened many times before…The Bible says that there is nothing new under the sun, just folks that forgot or don’t study the past so they are surprised at what transpires during our time….so in essence there was the 7 Years of Feast 2000-2007 and 7 Years of famine 2008-2015…(2015 being the year that economists describe as the end of the recession and the start of the REAL rebound). Most churches that started off right in the late 80′s gathered strength in the 90′s and took off in the 2000′s…since the recession in 2008 many lost their way…few thrived, and most barely survived (We started in fall of 2010…we birthed our ministry in the desert bloody and salty, which was very difficult to say the least. God surely kept us afloat and I promise you that it was ALL Him)..needless to say the church world as many others took a beating and it wasn’t the devil…it was ALL GOD…every body plateaus so there had to be a shake up so the body (of Christ) could get stronger…

2 Chronicles 7:13-14
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

This further confirms that God brought the famine and we could not pray it away but only SURVIVE IT…He is going to turn things around for those of you that have been faithful, seeking his face and did not compromise…you missed it…IF YOU SURVIVED YOU ARE A SUCCESS STORY….The purge had to happen to change the spiritual climate of this region and across the nation…As things are shifting and moving again…let us learn from this soon to be closed season of lack by setting aside 7 years worth of resources should such a time or cycle happens again. You may have to put off a bigger building, car, project, house etc….When God send the overflow by all means enjoy the fruit of your labor, but don’t eat the ROOTS….pay off or burn up debts when times are good, expand into the marketplace with “Sound” kingdom businesses and BE CONTENT in the vision God gave you…lastly, for those of you who may have seen spiritual causalities over the last several years, remember who lasted and who did not…who God sustained and who God drained…who was raised up and who was cut off or closed down….remember who stayed and who left during the famine so that you will be more wise as to who enters your circle during times of plenty and how to prepare the next generation for their season of lack…I will.
