Going in Circles (Solomon’s Dilemma)

Wisdom

A wise man told me that learning is indicated by a change in behavior…if you haven’t changed you haven’t learned “anything”…this leads me to understand that knowledge isn’t POWER…Gods WISDOM is. Truthfully, people seek comfort in their minds, logically feeding off of facts, figures, data and so many words…yet yielding no manifestation..just a life that’s mentally circular, racing between questions and answers with an idolization of “knowing” more but never “learning” anything…

Ecclesiastes 1:13-18 NLT

I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind. What is wrong cannot be made right. What is missing cannot be recovered. I said to myself, “Look, I am wiser than any of the kings who ruled in Jerusalem before me. I have greater wisdom and knowledge than any of them.” So I set out to learn everything from wisdom to madness and folly. But I learned firsthand that pursuing all this is like chasing the wind. The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.

To conclude, I know plenty of folk who “know” better but arent “doing” better…you are no futher than where you are….so instead of vainly seeking knowledge for knowledge sake…simplify. Turn off the tv…unplug the internet and sit a few hours in reflection, prayer or fasting…trust me you will “learn” alot about yourself, who to listen to and what to ignore. I’m a living witness that when you do, God’s wisdom will be “clear”.
